The Central Library opened its doors simultaneously with the Global Campus's founding in 1980 and houses in open stacks over 1 million Western and Eastern books and 13,000 academic journals. The holdings are separated into four rooms by type, such as books, periodicals, and audio-visual material. There are also three reading rooms and one 24-hour reading room.
Since its opening, the library has conducted an active computerization process to provide various academic services online and has developed the KULIS (Kyung Hee University Library Information System) to ease access to guests' personal information as well as loans, purchase requests, and applications to various workshops for a personalized experience. The library's database is also available online.
